Troutman is a short comedy-mockumentary following amphibian actor-turned-masseur Gillbert Troutman, who has fallen from the heights of fame to the depths of irrelevance, then risen to some place in between. The film follows the former Creature from the Black Lagoon as he struggles with his past and searches for a future.

Made by a talented team of fellow students of the University of the West of England over the course of just three months on an extremely limited budget, the project was a successful exercise in effective departmental collaboration. Opening to a great reception at test screenings, the film is currently undergoing a final cut for the festival circuit, and will see an official release next year (subject to events surrounding the Covid-19 epidemic).
